Facelifts for Men in Eugene
Rejuvenate your appearance; renew your confidence
Have you ever heard that a man’s appearance grows more refined with age? While that may be true for some, the aging process doesn’t leave us all happy with what we see in the mirror. Time and gravity take their toll, causing deep creases, drooping jowls, and loosening neck tissues that can keep a man from looking as vibrant and healthy as he feels. If you’re unhappy with age-related changes to your face, it may be time to consider a facelift.
For men, a facelift can correct jowling, sagging cheeks, and loose neck skin and smooth deep furrows, taking years off your appearance and giving you back your natural confidence.
Ensuring a natural appearance for male facelift patients
Many of the characteristics that distinguish a male face are readily apparent: a more prominent brow, wider face and neck, stronger jawline, and facial hair. Men also have thicker, heavier skin than women, which contains more blood vessels. This presents a unique challenge to a plastic surgeon when it comes to performing a natural looking facelift.
“Dr. Movassaghi is truly a master of his craft and more than a surgeon – you are an artist. Needless to say, the results of my surgery never cease to amaze me. After one year the scars have disappeared and ten years, if not more, off my face. Every penny was worth it.”*
Dr. Movassaghi’s goal with facial rejuvenation surgery is to make it look like the patient hasn’t had surgery. He accomplishes this by adjusting his surgical approach for each patient, using techniques that will preserve the uniquely masculine features of a man’s face:
- Subcutaneous tissues (tissues beneath the skin that provide structural support) are lifted and repositioned so the skin lies naturally over the face. The result is a face with sharper, better refined features without a tight or “pulled” look.
- Special consideration is given to incision placement to ensure that facial hair growth is located in a natural pattern and minimize scarring to the maximum degree possible, as the typical men’s haircut does not provide much camouflage
Why choose Dr. Movassaghi?

Customizing Men’s Facial Rejuvenation Options to Your Goals
While a facelift may be the procedure most commonly associated with facial rejuvenation, the most appropriate procedure for you may include one of several facial rejuvenation procedures, on their own or in conjunction with a facelift. Generally, a facelift will target the middle and lower face, while brow and eyelid surgery will address aging around the eyes and forehead.
Dr. Movassaghi will frequently combine a facelift with neck or eyelid surgery to provide a more comprehensive rejuvenation and achieve the most natural result.
Non-surgical treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers can smooth more surface-level wrinkles to further refine the results of a facelift, or they can be used on their own to rejuvenate your features if you are not quite ready for surgery.
Men’s Facelift Surgery & Recovery
Dr. Movassaghi performs male facelift surgery as an outpatient procedure, either using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on your preferences and the extent of the procedure(s) performed. Male facelifts can range from a “mini” facelift that corrects minor sagging in the cheeks and jowls, to a “standard” facelift that addresses the midface and neck tissues. Incisions and time in surgery will vary depending on the nature of your facelift.
Recovery after a facelift can be surprisingly quick for a healthy patient; following your post-operative care instructions is key. Discomfort is typically minimal, and easily controlled with pain medication. Most patients can resume light daily activity after a view days, and feel ready to go out in public in as little as 10 days, after sutures are removed and a majority of swelling has subsided. While you will need to refrain from lifting or straining after a facelift, more vigorous exercise can typically be resumed after about 1 month.
Noticeable swelling and bruising are typically gone within 4-6 weeks after surgery, when final results are apparent.
Results will last for years & age with you naturally
Having a facelift is like rewinding the clock and giving your appearance a fresh start. With proper skin care (wear sunscreen!), your results will continue to look excellent even as you age. While nothing can stop the natural aging process from continuing, your face will always look about a decade younger than it would have without a facelift.
